Shine On!

NEW RELEASE from Simon Says Stamp! Shine on is a celebration of bright spots in our lives. I got samples of some of the products and will share my cards with them here.

Techniques:

• Multiple cuts of the Glow On shadow and word dies. The word cuts are white, but I did the shadow layer in three colors that shift from deeper to lighter in an analogous color group. Offsetting them creates a feeling of movement or energy that makes the design more dynamic.

• The background die (Nifty Star Plate) is not new, but felt like the perfect style for the vibe I wanted to pair with this Glow On greeting. I layered the die cut on a solid background that is a darker shade of the die cut for a depth and patter that wasn’t too distracting. (Notice that those two colors add depth to the rainbow I created with the word shadow dies by extending that color sequence.)

• I topped it off with a sentiment from the EZ Strips pre-printed sentiments that are part of this release.
